About Us
Who We Are
The Gerontology Program at UNC Charlotte began in the mid-80s and includes students and faculty from many disciplines across the University. The Program is co-sponsored by the College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences and the College of Health and Human Services and supported by the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies. We offer an undergraduate gerontology minor, a gerontology concentration in the Interdisciplinary Studies BA, and a graduate Certificate in Gerontology. The multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary nature of the program prepares students and professionals in all aspects of the study of aging and longevity. Older adults are everywhere and we are all aging every day. Let us help you prepare.
