Ashley Stevens, MSW, LCSW

Ashley Stevens is a Gerontological Social Worker for Mecklenburg County Department of Social
Services. Ms. Stevens implements and leads training/education for community organizations
and the general public to increase understanding of dementia and caregiving. Additionally, in
her work, she serves as Co-Chair of the Dementia Friendly Charlotte Mecklenburg Initiative in
Charlotte, North Carolina.

Ms. Stevens earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Gerontology from Bowling Green State
University and her Master of Social Work degree and Graduate Gerontology Certificate from
the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Ms. Stevens has a deep passion for increasing
awareness for diverse aging communities and has her Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion certification
through the University of South Florida.
